We love him, because he first loved us.

I John 4:19

You are loved!

Our 59th Homecoming was great, our 12th annual Mission Conference was encouraging, our daughters’ wedding was beautiful, God & Country Day was uplifting, and Thanksgiving week was blessed!  Now we are headed into the Christmas season which reminds us of the GREAT NEWS of Jesus Christ coming to dwell among us.  John 1:14 tells us And the Word [The Word was God—verse 1] was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”  Are you a recipient of Christ’s grace and truth?  Are you thankful for it?  Ruth said to Boaz in the book that bears her name, “Why have I found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger?”  It was Boaz’s love for Ruth that caused him to bestow grace on her, and it is the great love that Christ has for each of us that causes Him to extend His full grace and truth to us!  I John 4:19 says, We love him, because he first loved us.  Do you love Him?
