Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20] Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.

Matthew 28:19-20

We are rejoicing in all God has done!

God has been saving souls lately through the ministry of GMBC.  We are rejoicing in all He has done.  In the last 4 months many professions of salvation have been made.  Let me give you a brief summary:  It started this year during our Spring Revival in April with Dr. Bill Hall when 4 people made professions of salvation.  Then on June 1, which was “Family Day” with Dr. Tom Farrell, we had 7 people make professions of salvation.  During the month of July there were 3 of our junior boys accept Christ at Junior camp at the Rapidan, and 3 of our 12 teens who went to the Wild’s made professions of salvation there.  Three others gave testimony to good decisions they made that will allow them to “grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”(2 Peter 3:18) There was another man and his wife pray to accept Christ during counseling sessions with me recently.  Can you imagine the excitement and the responsibility that 18 newborns create?  I  Peter 2:2-3 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: [3] If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.  My wife and I have experienced this sincere desire for the milk of the Word recently from some of these new converts and it has been very refreshing.

We as seasoned saints have our work cut out for us if we intend on fulfilling our responsibility to disciple these newborn babes.  Matthew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20] Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

As pastor, my desire is to see these new born babes [new converts] get the attention they need so that they will be able to “grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18), and subsequently say as the Psalmist did in the Psalm 119:103 and 129 “How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!”—“Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them.
