We can choose to have a heart of gratitude even in the midst of heartache, turmoil, and loss. In fact that kind of attitude will help carry us through those tough times.

Choose Gratitude

Do you have an attitude of gratitude?   We have so much to be thankful for, and yet we so often choose to focus our thoughts on anything negative that presents itself in our lives.  In fact, if we’re honest, sometimes we go looking for it!  Shame on us!  It’s a slap in the face of our Sovereign Almighty God when we refuse to see and trust His gracious, loving hand in all things.

We can choose to have a heart of gratitude even in the midst of heartache, turmoil, and loss.  In fact that kind of attitude will help carry us through those tough times.  I Thessalonians 5:18 makes it very clear that we are to give thanks in everything for this is the will of God concerning us!  And there’s a reason for that:  “It will radically impact how you view and respond to everything in your life.” [Nancy Leigh DeMoss, Choosing gratitude p.19] Choose gratitude.
