Remember that we have no more faith at any time than we have in the hour of trial. Fair weather faith is no faith.

Spurgeon

Faith

It has been said that “Faith is believing the Word of God and acting upon it no matter how I feel, knowing that God promises a good result.” How often we let our feelings or circumstances dictate our actions and responses. We then try to justify our actions and responses claiming that the circumstances warranted them. How absurd! Do we only have faith in God and believe His word when things are going great? If we were put to the test like Job was, how would we respond? Although Job is well-known for his patience, I think it was his faith in who God is that carried him through his trials. Faith is confidence in God. It is a firm conviction that He is able to perform that which He promised, that He will come through on our behalf. “Remember that we have no more faith at any time than we have in the hour of trial. Fair weather faith is no faith.” (Spurgeon) Get to know God better through His word, reading and studying it, and hearing it preached and taught, so that your faith can grow and sustain you during hard times.  Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
