Thou art worthy O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Rev. 4:11

Worthy of Praise

Is God only to be praised when things in our lives go according to our plans, and then blamed when we don’t like what is happening? Job said it like this, “What? Shall we receive good at the hand of God and shall we not receive evil?” (Job 2:10) When Job lost everything he fell down and worshipped God saying, “The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”

God is worthy of our worship and praise because of who He is, not because of what He gives us or does for us. He is worthy because He is God. Do you love and worship Him just for who He is? “Thou art worthy O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” Rev. 4:11
