Take ye from among you an offering unto the Lord: whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the Lord...

Exodus 35:5

Great Days Ahead for GMBC!

Great days are ahead for us here at GMBC.  The Lord has used your generous hearts and hands to accomplish a remarkable feat of getting the shell of our new sanctuary up and dried in!  We are now on the threshold of entering into Stage II [Finishing the shell] of our new building.  I want to encourage as many of you as can, and are willing, to be a part of helping to complete this new facility.  You can be a part by giving of your time, talents, and treasures.  In Exodus 35:5, Moses told his congregation, “Take ye from among you an offering unto the Lord: whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the Lord”. Moses made it clear in chapter 5 that his appeal was toward those who were “of a willing heart”.  The word “willing” means someone who volunteers freely, or in other words, someone who wants to get involved.  Obviously, many wanted to get involved in that project of building the Tabernacle because in Exodus 36:5-7 Moses had to tell the people to stop bringing money and supplies in for the project because they had enough—actually too much.  Exodus 36:7 For the stuff they had was sufficient for all the work to make it, and too much.  Wouldn’t it be great if I had to proclaim to everyone to stop giving because we have enough?
