Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.

Bountiful Blessings

Ps 68:19 “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.” “Bountiful Blessings” would be the best way to describe all that our blessed Lord has been doing for us here at GMBC.  Synonyms of the word bountiful that describe God’s care for His children are; plentiful, abundant, generous, and ample.  Isn’t it wonderful that we have a Lord that daily loadeth us down with benefits?  On Sunday October 21, 2001, 217 people gathered at GMBC for our 49th homecoming, and were treated to a generous feast.  We enjoyed 2 great messages from Dr. Bruce McAllister, director of ministerial training at Bob Jones University.  Our hearts were challenged, encouraged and motivated to let Jesus Christ become active in our lives.  The choir and special music blessed us as every number lifted our hearts to Christ and brought glory to His name.  The homecoming meal after the morning service was plentiful. Our ladies made sure that we all had ample provisions to dine upon.  It was delightful to dine on abundant provisions with God’s people in a picture perfect setting, with perfect weather on our Lord’s wonderful day.   Are you enjoying God’s daily benefits in your life?  If not, you are really missing out on the abundant life of the Lord.  Why not start today by trusting and obeying “the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.”

Our second annual Mission Conference was a spiritual blessing.  Jeff Reason brought many challenging messages and our hearts where directed to our mission of evangelizing the world, that is possible through Christ.  The Sanctuary was decorated beautifully with flags from each of the countries where we support missionaries presently.  Several families and the teens did displays representing some of missionaries that could not be here.  The international banquet was fun too.  We got a taste of international flavors from many countries.  We look forward to our 3rd annual Mission Conference next October with Missionary Mike Schell and his family from Micronesia.
